In
an effort to provide a faster and more
efficient way of notifying our
customers, the Water Authority of Great
Neck North has implemented the Swift 911
Emergency Notification System.
Swift 911, in its simplest form, is a
system that makes phone calls to
specific people or areas in the event of
an emergency or for sharing important
information. This system gives the Water
Authority the ability to notify all of
its customers in its entire service
area, within a few minutes, that there
is an emergency or problem with the
water supply. In addition, all the calls
have the Caller ID of the Water
Authority of Great Neck North.
This new system replaces the
traditional, labor intensive method the
Water Authority had been utilizing to
notify its customers. Therefore, if you
are not part of the system, you will not
receive any notification of any
emergency situations (e.g. water
shut-off due to a main break).
